How to use the Tasbih counter

Choose a dhikr (SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar or Astaghfirullah), pick a target of 33, 99, 100 or your own number, and tap the big green button. Each dhikr keeps its own count. Your phone gives a short vibration on every tap and a longer one when you reach the target, so you can keep your eyes closed and your heart focused. On a computer, you can also press the space bar.

Your counts are saved in your own browser (localStorage), so if you close the page and come back later, your count is still there. Nothing is sent to our server. Use Undo if you tap by mistake and Reset to start again.

Namaz ke baad, safar mein ya kaam ke beech — phone hi aapki tasbih ban jaye.

Authentic adhkar and their virtue

After every salah: The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever says SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 33 times after every prayer — that is 99 — and completes the hundred with Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr, his sins are forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea (Sahih Muslim 597). Use the target 33 for each phrase.

Istighfar: The Prophet ﷺ said, "By Allah, I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6307), and in another narration, "I seek His forgiveness a hundred times a day" (Sahih Muslim 2702). The target 100 with Astaghfirullah follows this.

Light on the tongue: "Two words are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil-Azim" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6406).

A digital counter is simply a tool to help you keep count, so your attention can stay on the meaning of the words. Many people also count on their fingers; use whichever helps you remember Allah more.

Important: This tool gives general guidance. Har shakhs ka maamla alag ho sakta hai — apne personal case ke liye kisi mustanad local aalim ya mufti se zaroor mashwara karein.

FAQ / Aksar pooche jaane wale sawal

Is my tasbih count saved if I close the page?

Yes. Counts are stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device, so they stay until you reset them or clear your browser data.

What should I recite after namaz?

SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 33 times, then complete 100 with La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah… as taught in Sahih Muslim 597.

Why doesn't my iPhone vibrate?

Safari on iPhone does not support the web vibration feature. The counter still works normally; only the vibration is unavailable.

Is using a digital tasbih allowed?

A counter is only a way to keep count; the dhikr itself is what matters. Many people count on their fingers instead. If you have a concern about using beads or counters, ask your local scholar.
