How to use this Ramadan 2030 calendar
The year 2030 is unusual: it contains the start of two Ramadans — 1451 AH in January and 1452 AH at the very end of December — because the Hijri year is about 11 days shorter than the solar year. Both are listed below; choose your city once and both tables update.

Sehri, iftar and the reward of fasting
Sehri ends when Fajr begins and iftar is at sunset, as Allah says: "eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the night" (Quran 2:187). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1923), and "whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1901). He also said: "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan" (Sahih al-Bukhari 2017).
Dates more than a year ahead are a calculation. Moon sighting decides the actual start in India and Pakistan, and the times for each date are astronomical beginning times — many local calendars stop sehri a few minutes earlier as a precaution. Check your local masjid's calendar closer to the month.
